Recently on www.varsityonline.com, under Minnesota's Cross Country page, an article was written on the Southwest team concerning the transfer of Forrest Tahdooahnippah to Southwest from St. Paul Central. The article mentions the Junior foundation of the team that already exisited; Neil Grosscup, Dan Dickinson, Erik DeLapp, and "Brent Carlson." Although Brent is no longer dedicated to the team, he has been replaced with the talented Sophomore Erik Maloney. The article, written by Ken Anderson, also mentions the fact that as of now Southwest has no Seniors and all the teams ranked above it do. It is mentioned that in the past Southwest won five state championship titles in a row. "Good Luck Lakers, the only program in the State that has ever put together five consecutive championships."
Southwest is also mentioned in the Cross Country AA preview, made before they knew Forrest had transferred, where the top runners are named. " Junior Neil Grosscup is a legit contender for the individual championship, and he will be running with Juniors Dan Dickinson, Erik Delapp, and Brent Carlson; and Senior Nate Sellers."

Feel free to read these articles at  this address for the article on Southwest and  this address for the overall AA preview.
