Since 1998 the Southwest
men have won the city meet. But in 2001, Edison snatched away the trophy,
and Southwest finished a heart-breaking third place behind South. But if
Forrest Tahdooahnippah had simply run his threshold run in the race, things
might have turned to first. That is why many of the Southwest varsity runners
are confident in their team's ability to perform well at Regions next week.
On another note, the Girls team won back the city title from South and
top runner Koby Hagen won the individual title. Below are top times for
guys and girls.
